Maternity Photography in Miami

An editorial maternity experience in a private Wynwood studio, by Lisset Galeyev

A maternity session with us is a fully guided editorial experience in a private Wynwood studio: expert direction on every pose, wardrobe planned before you arrive, and portraits of this chapter finished as art for your home. The ideal window is weeks 28 through 34, and the best dates go early, so the right time to reach out is your second trimester. You bring yourself. We direct everything else.

Our maternity work is editorial: clean, modern, and elegant, closer to the pages of a fashion magazine than to the soft-focus clichés this genre is known for. Pregnancy photos you've seen a thousand times exist everywhere in Miami. A portrait of you, at your strongest and most beautiful, made with intention and designed to be displayed in your home, does not. That's what we make.

Every session is directed from the first frame: how to stand, where to place your hands, when to move, so you never wonder what to do. Wardrobe is planned before you arrive, from pieces in the studio's curated wardrobe to the ones already in your closet that photograph beautifully right now. Tell us when you book and we'll arrange professional hair and makeup, so you can arrive and simply be taken care of.

The studio itself is private, calm, and air-conditioned, which matters more in a Miami summer than anyone admits, and the pacing is unhurried, with seating and breaks whenever you want them. A few weeks later comes the reveal, where you see the finished portraits for the first time and we design what they become.

the experience

The sweet spot is weeks 28 to 34: the silhouette is fully present, and most women still feel comfortable standing, moving, and enjoying the session. Expecting twins? Plan a few weeks earlier. And because dates book ahead, reach out during your second trimester so your session is waiting for you, not the other way around.

Every pregnancy runs its own clock, though. If you're past the window and want portraits, come. We'll make it comfortable and beautiful.

Maternity is where Lisset Galeyev's work began. Before this studio became known for family and children's portraits across Miami, it started with women at exactly this moment in their lives, and that experience runs through every maternity session we photograph today.

Lisset is a mother of two herself. She knows this stage from the inside: the excitement, the exhaustion, the way your body stops feeling like your own. Her direction is patient, warm, and unhurried, in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. More than 2,000 portrait commissions since 2017, and this is still some of the work she loves most.

Our studio and gallery is located at 164 NW 20th St, Suite 101, in Wynwood, Miami.

WHERE THE STUDIO BEGAN

Some women want sculptural, bare-skin portraits. Some want a gown with movement. Most want something in between, and plenty want a little of everything. All of it is yours to choose, and nothing is assumed. We talk it through before the session, you set the lines, and the posing and light are directed so every image is elegant, intentional, and entirely comfortable to make.

photographed your way

For many families, a maternity session is the start of a long relationship with our studio: the pregnancy today, family portraits after, motherhood sessions as your children grow, a wall that fills year by year. If that's the kind of studio you're looking for, explore our [family portraits] and [motherhood sessions] to see where the story goes.

THE FIRST CHAPTER

YOUR PORTRAIT AS THE WORK OF ART

These portraits are designed to be displayed: statement wall pieces for the home your child is about to grow up in, and The Art Book, an album crafted to look and feel like a high-end coffee table book. We design the finish together at your reveal, so this chapter doesn't end up in a folder on your phone. It lives where you live.

the finish

The ideal window is weeks 28 to 34 of pregnancy, when the silhouette is fully present and you're still comfortable. If you're expecting twins, plan a few weeks earlier. Dates book ahead, so reaching out in your second trimester is best.

Fitted silhouettes and flowing fabrics both photograph beautifully, and solid colors work better than busy patterns. We plan wardrobe with you before the session, with guidance on what to bring and access to the studio's curated wardrobe.

Absolutely. Many maternity sessions include the partner and older children, and for many families these become the first family portraits with the newest member on the way.

Yes. We arrange camera-ready hair and makeup with artists we trust, styled for how it reads under studio lighting. Let us know when you book.

Only as bare as you want. Some women choose sculptural bare-skin portraits, some prefer gowns, and most land somewhere in between. Nothing is assumed, everything is discussed beforehand, and the posing keeps every image elegant.

Yes. The studio is private, calm, and air-conditioned, the pacing is unhurried with breaks whenever you need them, and every pose is directed so no energy is wasted.

Finished portraits presented at a private reveal, with finishing options including wall art and The Art Book, an album crafted like a high-end coffee table book.
